Baltic Sail is an open network of partners, especially harbour cities. The cooperation of the partners and associated partners shall be intensified.

It shall support the upkeep of maritime culture and the maintenance of maritime traditions, especially traditional vessels, as unique part of our common European maritime heritage.
The old-timers, still in operation, driven by the wind, steam or engine, are perfect tools to promote the Baltic Sea Region as a peaceful, borderless, unique first class maritime resort with impressive coastlines, pulsating seaside spots and growing harbour cities, breathing long traditions by their sights.

This in mind Baltic Sail aims at interesting owners of old time sailing vessels and other traditional ships to enter the harbours of the partners and in cruises in the Baltic Sea region.
Baltic Sail shall contribute to develop European maritime traditions, traditional vessels, maritime heritage sights and properties into a trademark of the Baltic Sea region.
A lot of joint activities are (going to be) developed by the partners of the network.
